The Lesson

  1. I acknowledge a bit of my character that I hate. I don’t let that idiot surface anymore. Whenever I encounter a know-it-all I understand their insecurity but I don’t feed it by contributing to the conversation. I simply go silent and smile. On other occasions, I politely excuse myself and walk away.
  2. Cathy changed my life, so I feel that it’s right to give her credit.
  3. Life is about the little things, not the grand-big gestures.
  4. This story has taught me that everyone is important and that their words could change your life.
  5. Life is about all the little things.
